The PhatSunny licensing model is built on the same philosophy as u-he — the company that co-created the CLAP standard. Simple, honest, producer-friendly. No servers. No phone home. No games.
Install on every computer you own and use. Home studio, mobile laptop, second rig — all covered under one license. The license is for you, not a specific machine.
One license, one person. Don't share it. Don't give your serial to someone else. This isn't about DRM — it's about being fair to the work that went into building these plugins.
After activation, the suite runs completely offline. Your .phatkey file lives locally. No activation server. No license check on every launch. Works on air-gapped machines.
PhatSunny will never require iLok, dongles, or hardware keys. The license system uses a local Ed25519-signed .phatkey file. You own your license outright.
The suite is Linux-native CLAP format. Tested on Garuda Linux with Bitwig Studio and Reaper. Other distros using CLAP-compatible DAWs should work. Windows/Mac not planned.

All updates within the current major version are free. When PH-NGEQ gets deeper tube modeling or PH-VSC3 gets new SC modes — you get it. No upgrade fees for minor versions.
Licenses are non-transferable and may not be resold. If you need to transfer a license for a legitimate reason, contact us directly — we handle these case by case.
No activation servers. No phone-home. No waiting for a server to respond. The PhatSunny licensing system is built on the same model as u-he — a cryptographically signed local license file that proves ownership without requiring internet.
Complete checkout via Lemon Squeezy. You get a receipt and a confirmation email immediately.
Within 24 hours (usually much faster), you'll receive an email from redhubcap@gmail.com with your Name, Serial number, and attached .phatkey file.
The download link is included in your license email. Install the .clap files to your Linux CLAP plugin directory (typically ~/.clap/ or /usr/lib/clap/).
Drop your .phatkey file into the PhatSunny config directory (~/.config/PhatSunny/). The plugins read it on load. No internet. No server. Just works.
Scan your CLAP directory in Bitwig or Reaper. All 22 plugins appear instantly. Open one, see your name in the title bar. You're licensed. Start making records.
